Important No Kings updates
3 rallies in Portland; 7 new rallies. Complete list & what to bring
Dear Friends,
Saturday is going to be huge, with over 1800 No Kings rallies across the country (though, by design, none in Washington, D.C.) Seven new rallies have been added in Maine since my last newsletter (So. Portland, Ogunquit, Lincoln, Castine, Houlton, Rangeley and Monhegan), bringing the grand total to an astonishing 43—more per capita than all but three other states! And please note: there are three different rallies in Portland (the “No Kings” is 12-1:30). The complete list is below.
What to Bring
Songbook: Local heroes have created a satirical No Kings songbook, which will be sung at the Portland rally (and others, perhaps?). Please go here and bookmark the link in your phone. Or, if possible, print out 5 copies to bring and share.
Suggested signs: Many rallies are trying to stay upbeat and postive. For some Maine-oriented ideas, go to this link, click on “State by State” and then “Maine.” Other examples here and here of clever sign ideas.
To wear: Forecast is coolish with possible morning showers, so be prepared.
